When Should I Order My Wedding Gown?
We recommend that you order your Wedding Gown at least 6-8 months before your wedding. Most gowns take 4-6 months to arrive and you will need to allow 2 months for alterations. There are options for brides who need a gown quickly. Please contact our store so we can discuss those options with you.
What If I Need A Gown Really Quickly?
It can happen and there are options available! Some of our designers carry stock and can deliver quickly. We have been able to deliver gowns with very little turn around. Call us so that we can discuss what you are looking for, and we will do our very best to meet your needs.
What is a Trunk Show?
Bridal Stores do not generally carry the Designers whole season’s line in their store. It’s great way to see the entire line for a designer, so if there’s a gown you can’t find anywhere look for a Trunk Show. It’s a great way to try on that special gown. These are fun events, especially at Belle Mariée! Book early, as appointments go fast. Please contact our store to find out about our upcoming trunk shows.
To Make or Not To Make An Appointment?
We always recommend an appointment, especially on Saturdays. When you are ordering your Wedding Gown there is a lot of information we can offer that will help you with your decision. Each Designer offers different options from shipping to gown changes and color. This information can make a difference in the best gown for you! We always do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but will always give priority to an appointment.
When do we order Bridesmaids Gowns – Mother of the Event Gowns – Flower Girls?
Bridesmaids and Mother of the Event: Ideally we recommend 4-6 months to ensure delivery. It takes about 3-4 for delivery and we recommend that you also allow time for any necessary alterations or adjustments to these gowns. If you don’t have that much time, please discuss your time line with us so we can offer available solutions to meet your needs. Most designers offer Rush Deliveries for an additional fee if you want to get gowns in a shorter amount of time call us for the latest ship dates!
Flower Girls: These little ones can also take up to 3-4 for some designers. We also carry US Angels, who can deliver in 4-6 weeks without any additional rush fees. It is important that you communicate time lines and requirements so that we can provide you with the information you need to make the best decision.
Some of my Bridesmaids aren’t local – what should I do?
This happens all the time and we have no problems accommodating bridal party members that are not local. Have them call us and we can offer them easy instructions for measurements. We offer to ship gowns anywhere in the US so that alterations can be completed in time for the wedding. There is a shipping fee for this option.
Are children welcome?
We have kids too, and we love them! However, if you are trying on wedding gowns it becomes challenging. Little ones often don’t have the patience to sit through a lengthy appointment, making it hard for you to relax and concentrate on matters that are important in the process of choosing your gown. It isn’t fair to the bride or the child. Secondly, our store and our displays are designed for adults. So we ask that unless we are measuring for your special Flower Girl that the little ones remain at home. We also understand that it isn’t always possible and so we kindly ask that when you bring a little one in that you supervise them closely.
What is the average cost of a Wedding Gown at Belle Mariée?
They range from about $800-$2000 with most gowns around $1000 – $1,500.
Can I Buy a Dream Dress on the Internet for less?
Our designers strictly prohibit internet sales. There are countless counterfeiters online as well, adverting designer styles, that end up being knock-offs, and there is no way to know this before ordering. Secondly, every dress needs to have special considerations made based on your body type, and they way the gown is constructed. This is not something that can be determined by looking at a photograph online.
